Happy Birthday To Connor!

This post is a little late, but Connor celebrated his very first birthday on March 17th! That's right, our little Connor is a St Patrick baby. The downside is, guess what his party theme will be for every single birthday he ever has? The upside is, that will be a great theme when he gets to be about, oh lets say, 21 or so.

We all had a great time-Jessica and I took the day off of school to celebrate with the little guy. It was great to be there and reflect on how much Connor has changed in such a short time. A short time, yes, but I cannot imagine being without him. We had a good time-we went to Eagle River Valley to look around and then Meemaw and Peepaw came over to celebrate with the Frick Jrs over cupcakes.

Skating at the Sully

Sorry I haven't been keeping this thing updated, but things were very hectic preparing for my school trip to New York City. Then, of course, it was expensive to get internet access in NYC, so I had to wait until I returned to good ol' AK. Now that I am back, I will try to catch up on all that has been happening amongst the Fricks.

To begin with, Kierin's hockey team was selected to play a scrimmage between the 1st and 2nd periods of an Alaska Aces game against the Idaho Steelheads. It was a very exciting night as the Mustangs took to the Sullivan Arena ice in front of thousands of rabid Aces fans. I think it was a little overwhelming for them all, but they seemed to enjoy the experience.

Boomer, the Aces mascot, gives the Mustangs a few hockey tips prior to their taking the ice.

Kierin-the Hockey Sniper!

Kierin and his fellow Mustangs played in the AHA end of season jamboree today. Kierin's team won all three of their hockey games and Kierin capped off a great jamboree by scoring not one, but two (!) goals against the AHA Orange Tigers. Kierin has been trying all season to put one in the net and his hard work finally paid off tonight as he tallied two quick goals.

Kierin flies around the ice as he hunts for the puck to put into the opposing team's net. He has definitely grown as a skater!

Time for a break!

Kierin even found time to play goalie, just like his daddy!
