Snow + Shoes =Snowshoes!!

Yes, yes, I know. Its been over a month since the last post and I know of at least one person who is jonesing for an update in the life of the adventurous Alaskan Frick Jrs. Well, it has been so cold here (weeks of below zero weather) and when it is not below zero, it is snowing. As a result, we have been holed up here in our igloo.

But we did have a little adventure a few weeks ago that I have been meaning to post-we went snowshoing for the very first time! We drove out Eagle River valley and hiked about a mile or so down Eagle River. We do want to say "thank you" to Grandma Kathy for providing the snowshoes as a Christmas present!

Here is Mommy and Connor (In his sled he got for Christmas-he can't walk, so he couldn't use snowshoes) getting ready for our big adventure.

Kierin gets ready to explore the Alaskan wilderness. Note his very cool HOCKEY hat.

The most beautiful baby in the known universe. He LOVED the sled and giggled and laughed the whole hike.

Once we had walked awhile, we dicided to stop and rest. A snowball fight quickly broke out-Kierin and Mommy against Daddy. Isn't that always the way it goes??

Of course, our little eater found snowballs to be absolutely delicious!

It was a great adventure, but very tiring!
